A 2,000-square-foot photo and video studio in downtown Billings with ten-foot north-facing windows, white and black brick walls, backdrops and prop furniture. Available for photography, video, art, meetings, small events, conventions, fashion shows, photography classes and educational workshops. Guest and crew capacity is 75 maximum, with 50 or fewer ideal. Bookings have a one-hour minimum and should be made through the Billings Open Studio website. Published session totals begin at $60 for one hour, $230 for four hours and $420 for eight hours; longer sessions do not use a uniform hourly rate. Lighting and additional backdrop rentals are optional. Use the Backdoor at 2814 2nd Ave N. Entry is by appointment through a private locked door, with Eileen or the studio manager providing access. The studio is wheelchair accessible and has an elevator, air conditioning/heating, restrooms and a kitchenette. Nearby parking is paid. No refunds; rescheduling requires at least 72 hours’ notice. Renters are responsible for their own insurance. Damage to the property or items on the property may result in charges to the renter. OpenSet session limit: up to 9 hours. Based on the currently published official booking choices (1–9 hours). Longer/custom bookings must be confirmed with the studio.
